Buyer & founder, DealStratum

I’m building DealStratum, the acquisition platform for people buying small businesses. The writing here comes from an operator’s and buyer’s point of view — not a licensed advisor’s. It’s meant to make the work of finding, screening, and reaching deals clearer, not to replace your accountant, attorney, or lender.

Background

Eighteen years in digital marketing and growth, most of it spent scaling companies rather than writing about them. As CMO of Spark Membership, I helped lead the company to a strategic growth investment from Bregal Sagemount. As a digital marketing executive at iLoveKickboxing, I helped scale it to 300+ franchise locations — and as head of franchise marketing at United Water Restoration Group, I helped open roughly 45 new franchise locations. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I write about acquisitions because it’s the work I’m doing now, not a topic I cover from the outside.

That’s also the lens for everything I publish here. I’ve operated and scaled businesses, and I’m now on the buy side full-time. So the guides lean practical — how the deal flow actually works, where the good businesses hide, what to pull from a CIM — rather than legal or financial advice. For the parts that need a credentialed professional (valuation, financing, diligence, tax), I’ll say so plainly and point you to one.

What I write about

Not financial advice. DealStratum is software for finding and managing acquisitions — not a broker, lender, or financial advisor. Nothing on this profile or in the content linked from it is investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. Do your own diligence and work with licensed professionals.
